CLIMATE CHANGE
He believes climate change is "hyped by the media." Like other evangelical fundamentalists, Gardner refuses to open his eyes and see the changing world around him. Instead, he believes whatever happens is part of "God's plan."
STEM-CELL RESEARCH
It's no secret that Gardner opposes a woman's right to make medical decisions for herself. Gardner has sponsored numerous "personhood" bills throughout his political career, changing his position once he announced his candidacy for the senate.
He's playing to the crowd, knowing the majority of Coloradans don't agree with him.
Gardner believes life begins when the egg is fertilized, an imperceptibly small clump of cells known as a zygote.
Why does his belief matter?
Stem-cell research shows great promise for treating and even curing a wide-range of diseases. It's even possible that stem-cell research will permit the paralyzed to once-again walk.
But it will never happen if Gardner has his way. He thinks he knows better, and he wants to impose his beliefs on you.
For Gardner, a zygote is a human being with a soul. In other words, Cory thinks you don't have any more rights than a clump of cells. Your health and well-being don't matter.
Gardner won't back any stem-cell research, with funding or otherwise.
The sky is the limit for what scientists could discover and develop for the benefit of humanity–yes, including you–but Gardner uses his religious beliefs to put a stranglehold on science.

Voting for a religious extremist like Gardner is the same as casting your vote for the Muslim extremists in the Islamic world: the Taliban. Al-Qaeda. ISIS.
Too much to believe?
Visit any conservative evangelical church. Its members are pained by what they perceive to be America's "fall from Grace." Subjugating the people of this country to their extreme religious views is their mission. They blindly believe they are "victims" under "attack" by "unbelievers."
Don't underestimate this fringe of society. They will wage religious war if necessary, hoping–praying–to become martyrs for their cause.
Sound familiar? It should. Gardner and his followers are no different than the religious fundamentalists we spent trillions of dollars and thousands of American lives fighting in the Middle East.
MARRIAGE EQUALITY
Cory Gardner bases his entire argument against same-sex marriage on inconsequential, isolated passages in his version of the Quran–the Bible.
Gardner was "saved by the bell" by state, federal, and the Supreme Court.
Marriage equality is sweeping the country, so it's no longer susceptible to unwelcome religious legislation. Gardner no longer has to expose the truth about his medieval beliefs about same-sex marriage.
Gardner can now hide his primitive views behind the cloaks of the court.
